National Audit Project 6 - Perioperative Anaphylaxis

The results are out from the Royal College of Anaesthetists Six National Audit Project- Perioperative Anaphylaxis. Antibiotics accounted for 47% of serious cases with teicoplanin and augmentin identified in 89% of antibiotic anaphylaxis. Neuromuscular blockers caused 33% of cases with suxamethonium twice as likely as other NMBs to cause problems.
