About Me
Dr. James Bromilow BM MRCP FRCA FFICM is a Consultant in Intensive Care (Critical Care / ITU / ICU) Medicine and Anaesthetics with over 24 years of clinical experience. He holds numerous management posts for national and local organizations and has published widely in the intensive care and anaesthetic literature. He is an invited expert reviewer for the British Journal of Anaesthesia. In October 2016 he was awarded a Health Education England Shine Award in the category of Education and Innovation Champion of the Year. He has both formal training (Cardiff Law School) and experience in acting as an Expert Witness for clinical negligence cases on behalf of the Claimant and Defendant.

Medicolegal
Dr. James Bromilow has undergone formal training in acting as an Expert Witness and holds the Cardiff Law School Bond Solon Civil Expert Witness Certificate. He has extensive experience in acting on behalf of both the Claimant and Defendant in clinical negligence cases. Due to his breadth of clinical expertise, he is happy to discuss instruction on a number of different topics within his specialist fields of intensive care (ICU/ ITU/ Critical Care), peri-operative care and anaesthetics. Dr Bromilow has experience giving oral evidence in Civil Court, Coroners Court and Professional Tribunals.
Intensive Care Medicine (ICU / ITU)
Dr. James Bromilow is the Lead Consultant on a busy general Intensive Care Unit (ICU / ITU / Critical Care) which receives both medical and surgical admissions. He is Medical Lead within his NHS Trust for sepsis, intravenous fluids, resuscitation and medical outreach. He is also Chairman of his Trust's Critically Ill Patient Committee. He has acted as an expert advisor for national and regional organisations on resuscitation and sepsis.
Anaesthesia
Dr. James Bromilow is a Consultant Anaesthetist for patients in both the public and private healthcare sectors. He has experience in anaesthetising patients for operations in a wide range of surgical specialties. He has led projects on the introduction of laparoscopic and robotic surgery and an enhanced recovery programme (ERP).
